ancient ruins and archaeological excavations are common sights in Greece : however, in contrast to this, one is aware of a melancholic decay that exists among the narrowest alleyways and neglected facades : outmoded architectural styles and forgotten art forms mingle with urban graffiti and other modernities : is it evidence of an emerging art form, symbolic of a marriage of ancient architecture and a contemporary aesthetic ? : uban decay or urban revitalization ? :

born and bred in toronto, alan joson discovered his passion and enthusiasm for photography somewhat late in life : while completing his portfolio for entry into the ontario college of art and design (ocad), he stumbled upon a talent to capture beauty in the most unlikely places :
